Terms of Service

Doorwell answers maintenance calls from tenants, makes coordination calls to a customer's own vendors (quotes, dispatch, arrival confirmations, and similar), sends related operational text messages and emails, and records the results in a dashboard and, where connected, the customer's property management software. Our customers are property management companies; tenants and vendors interact with Doorwell on those companies' behalf.

Dashboard accounts are provisioned for our customers' authorized staff. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping sign-in access to your email secure. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Calls made or answered by Doorwell are recorded, and every call begins with a recording disclosure. Outbound agents identify themselves as AI assistants calling for the named property management company. Customers must have the right to share the tenant, vendor, and property information they provide to Doorwell, and must confirm that vendors on their roster agree to receive automated coordination calls and texts.

Doorwell sends operational text messages only — alerts to property management staff, job details to vendors, and confirmations to tenants. We do not send marketing texts. Consent is collected per audience: staff are enrolled by their company's administrator, vendors agree to automated coordination when the property manager adds them to its roster, and tenants are asked before we text the number they provide on a call.

Message frequency varies with maintenance activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any Doorwell text to opt out of further texts, and reply HELP or email hello@doorwell.ai for help. Opting out of texts does not stop maintenance coordination — phone calls and the dashboard continue to work. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Doorwell is not a substitute for emergency services. Our agents direct callers reporting life-safety situations to call 911, and we escalate emergencies to the property manager's designated on-call contact — but Doorwell does not control and cannot guarantee any vendor's or contact's response or response time.

Customers own their data — call recordings, transcripts, work orders, and rosters. We use it only to operate the service, as described in our privacy policy, and we delete it on verified request or when an account closes.

Don't use the service unlawfully, don't provide contact information you don't have the right to share, don't use Doorwell to harass anyone, and don't attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service.

Fees are set out in each customer's agreement with Doorwell. Pilot arrangements may be discounted or free. We give notice before pricing changes take effect.

The service is provided as is. Doorwell uses AI systems and the telephone network; we work to keep both reliable, but we do not warrant that calls always connect, that transcription or triage is error-free, or that messages are always delivered. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Doorwell is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees the customer paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Customers may stop using the service at any time; call forwarding is reversible with a carrier code. We may suspend or end service for violation of these terms. On termination, customers may request export and deletion of their data.

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the effective date above, and notify customers of material changes. These terms are governed by California law.
